Lamar's drive leg

This drive unit was designed, built and tested by Lamar Udine, the small that built Open Waterbike 'prototype 0'.

It is a fine implementation of the traditional concept of 'twisted chain' drive unit.

Its kick-up connections shows the advantages of the 'forward tube' proposal for the standard Open Waterbike architecture

Its thickness is only 30 mm making is quite low-drag and efficient.

A bit of Italian style is also apparent: being a drive leg it was designed having a look at the legs of real Italian women...
